Satisfactory crossplay: PC, PS5 and Xbox rules after 1.2.5.0

Satisfactory now supports PC-console crossplay. Check Epic account linking, mods, dedicated-server limits and why crossplay does not transfer saves.

Coverage: 1.2.5.0 onward; current official FAQ

The quick answer

PC and console crossplay was added in 1.2.5.0. Use Epic account linking for cross-platform sessions; consoles still cannot join dedicated servers, and cross-progression is not supported.

Set up a cross-platform session

Coffee Stain’s current FAQ includes Steam, Epic, PlayStation and Xbox. Link each player’s platform account to Epic, add each other through Epic, then look for the host in Join Game. Console/PC sessions must be unmodded because consoles do not support mods.

Keep these limits separate

Question Current answer
PC and console together? Yes, from 1.2.5.0
Console on a dedicated server? No; dedicated servers remain PC-only
Move a console save to PC through crossplay? No; the save stays with the host’s platform

An old launch article may correctly describe the console version at release and still give the wrong answer for today’s session. Check the version attached to the answer.

If the friend is not listed

The official checks include profile privacy, a full restart and trying the platform’s friends list. Start with account linking before moving on to those checks.

Our recommendation is to choose the long-term host before building a large shared factory. Being able to visit from a different platform does not mean that platform can later take ownership of the same save automatically.
