The quick answer
Choose a crop, planting day and tile count. The calculator includes every normal-speed harvest through day 28, subtracts purchased seeds and replants single-harvest crops on harvest day. It excludes quality, growth bonuses and processing.

Plan your next harvest
Eight common crops · 28-day seasons · normal-quality sales
Parsnip · Spring · 6 harvests · 120 items
Harvest days: 5, 9, 13, 17, 21, 25.
Seeds must already be available. Water daily; replant single-harvest crops on harvest day. Excludes fertilizer, professions, random extra produce, processing and labor. A harvest on day 28 is included.
Read the result before buying seeds
“Net after seeds” is normal-quality crop sales minus the seeds required for the selected tiles and harvests. It is not the value of your whole farm, nor a promise that all crops are equally easy to grow. Watering time, available money, access to seeds and bundle requirements still affect the right choice.
The tool assumes that you already have access to the seeds. For example, selecting Strawberry on Spring 1 is useful for stored seeds in a later year. It does not mean Pierre sells Strawberry Seeds at the start of a new farm: their ordinary festival purchase is on Spring 13.
Use the planting day for the season shown beside the crop. The outdoor calculation stops at day 28. It does not model the Greenhouse, Ginger Island, multi-season crops, giant crops or a crop’s survival into another season.
Crop inputs and last planting days
| Crop | Season | Seed cost | First growth | Regrowth | Produce per harvest used | Base sale per item | Last day for one harvest |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Parsnip | Spring | 20g | 4 days | Replant | 1 | 35g | 24 |
| Green Bean | Spring | 60g | 10 days | 3 days | 1 | 40g | 18 |
| Cauliflower | Spring | 80g | 12 days | Replant | 1 | 175g | 16 |
| Strawberry | Spring | 100g | 8 days | 4 days | 1 | 120g | 20 |
| Blueberry | Summer | 80g | 13 days | 4 days | 3 | 50g | 15 |
| Melon | Summer | 80g | 12 days | Replant | 1 | 250g | 16 |
| Cranberries | Fall | 240g | 7 days | 5 days | 2 | 75g | 21 |
| Pumpkin | Fall | 100g | 13 days | Replant | 1 | 320g | 15 |
Seed costs use ordinary Pierre prices where available and the Egg Festival price for Strawberries. Base sale means a normal-quality item without Tiller. Blueberries and Cranberries produce multiple items per ordinary harvest; the table counts those guaranteed quantities. Random extra produce is excluded for all crops.
How the calendar and seed costs work
The first harvest day is planting day plus the crop’s normal growth days. The planting day itself is not a completed growth day. Every required growth day is assumed watered. A missed watering can delay maturity; the tool does not predict how many days you might miss.
For a regrowing crop, subsequent harvests add its regrowth interval, with no new seed purchase. For a single-harvest crop, the calculator buys a replacement seed and replants on each harvest day only when another harvest can finish by day 28. It does not buy a final unnecessary seed after the last successful harvest.
Sales equal harvest count × produce per harvest × base sale value × crop tiles. Seed spending is counted across the whole selected season, rather than showing only the first packet purchase. If you plant too late for even one harvest, the tool still charges for that initial planting and shows a loss: do not buy those seeds for this outdoor season.
Worked examples you can reproduce
Twenty Parsnip tiles planted on Spring 1 yield six harvests: days 5, 9, 13, 17, 21 and 25. That is 120 normal-quality Parsnips worth 4,200g. Six rounds of seeds cost 2,400g, leaving 1,800g after seeds.
One Strawberry planted on Spring 13 has harvests on days 21 and 25. Two berries at 120g each, less the 100g seed, give 140g. Moving that same seed to Spring 21 produces no harvest by day 28 at normal speed. Growth bonuses would change the question and are outside this tool.
One Blueberry planted on Summer 1 has four harvests on days 14, 18, 22 and 26. At three berries per harvest, sales are 600g and the seed costs 80g: 520g net. One Cranberry plant on Fall 1 has five harvests through day 28, with two berries each: 750g sales minus 240g seeds gives 510g.
Turn a calculation into a farm plan
First reserve seasonal bundle crops, then compare the remaining tiles. A high cash result does not substitute for the specific vegetables required by the Community Center. Next check seed cash: a crop with a large upfront purchase can leave too little for other projects even when its end-of-season total is good.
Finally decide how you will water and sell the harvest. Twenty Quality Sprinklers cover a different workload from manually watering the same area; see sprinkler layouts and tool timing. If you will process the crop, compare Kegs and Preserves Jars separately, because machine capacity and processing time replace raw sales as the main constraint.
