No Man’s Sky cross-save: move a save and handle conflicts

Connect platforms, upload up to five No Man’s Sky saves, download the right world and check account toggles when syncing does not appear.

Coverage: Hello Games cross-save instructions

The quick answer

Link your platforms through Hello Games, enable their cross-save toggles, then use the in-game Cross-Save Manager. Cloud storage holds up to five saves.

Move the right world

  1. Open the official Hello Games cross-save page and connect the platform accounts you intend to use.
  2. Check that cross-save is enabled for those platforms.
  3. Launch the game. Your most recent save uploads automatically; use an empty cloud icon to select additional saves.
  4. On the destination device, open Cross-Save Manager from save selection and download the intended world.

One connected account can also support a PS4-to-PS5 transfer under the same PSN identity. You do not always need two different platform accounts.

If two copies disagree

A detected size/timestamp conflict asks you which version to keep. Before choosing, identify where you last made meaningful progress. Our recommendation is to note the device and session before transferring, rather than assuming the file that looks newest contains the progress you wanted.

If cross-save is missing

Recheck the current platform’s toggle on the account-connection page. Also distinguish your five cloud slots from the local save list: uploading every local world is not automatic.

Cross-save moves a journey between devices. Starting an expedition from that journey uses a different system, covered in the expedition terminal guide.
